The beautiful bride-to-be had requested no crazy shower games, so I kept it simple with one fun game that I was sure nobody had ever played at a shower before. It didn’t take long to play, which left lots of time for mingling, eating, and opening gifts! This bride-to-be chair banner was created the same way the instagram banner was made.
All of the guests were given a paper plate and a marker. They were told they would need to draw a picture with the plate on their head, which would later be graded. Everyone had a lot of fun drawing and grading other’s artwork. Read below for full instructions.
I normally don’t do guest books, but happened to find this great book at Paper Source a while back. The words of the story were so true of the Bride that I couldn’t resist. Guests were asked to find a page that describes her, and leave a note or share a memory.
Paper Plate Bridal Shower Game:: Once all guests have their plates on their heads, give them the following instructions, with enough time between for them to draw. Once they are done with the picture, they can take the plate down to see their drawing. Ask everyone to pass their plate to the person on their right, who will be grading their artwork. The person or people with the most points wins the game!
Instructions:: Draw a line for the floor. Now draw a bride. Make sure she has a veil…and a bouquet. Now draw a groom. Don’t forget his corsage. Next draw a church. And add some guests outside.
Grading:: You get 1 point if your bride touches the floor. 2 points if your groom and bride are touching. 1 point for each flower in the bride’s bouquet. 1 point is the groom’s crosage is on him. 2 points if the church has a steeple. 1 point for each guest outside.
You can tweak the drawing and points to fit your party.
