You know how you own a few items you just can’t imagine ever getting rid of? Even if it is no longer in style or a little worn, it still brings you joy? For me, this purple Kate Spade bag is one of those items. I received it as a gift almost 7 years ago and I have no plans to ever get rid of it- which is not like my normal konmari self. I love the bright color, smooth leather, colorful striped liner, and roomy interior. The four pockets on the outside are also great for keys, chapstick, gum, and my phone. A while back I saw a tutorial similar to this one for turning any bag into a camera bag. Since I often have my camera and computer with me, I loved the idea of being able to safely carry my camera with me in any bag I own, swapping it out when needed.
The tutorial shows you how to make a padded compartment with removable smaller compartments to fit your camera and lenses. I didn’t secure the insert into my bag so that I can easily take it out to use as a regular bag when I don’t have my camera with me.
Happy Crafting!

Such a cool idea! I have an ugly camera bag I got free from work but should look through my purses to make my own beautiful case for it!

Such a fabulous idea! No one would ever guess you’re carrying a camera in that bag.

What a great idea! I’ve been look at cute camera bags, but most of the ones I love are more expensive than I’m hoping for right now. This would let me use a bag I already have and love, which will be perfect. Thanks so much for sharing!
